A sign of the industry's fascination with the South American country: the most-watched episodes of the 22nd season of ABC's veteran reality show, The Bachelor, were the last two and aired on February 26 and March 5, 2018. They were filmed in luxury Peruvian destinations: the romantic and atmospheric landscapes of Tacama, the oldest vineyard in South America; Cusco, the country's historic capital; and Machu Picchu, the sacred Incan citadel perched atop a mountain. These were the places that viewers fell in love with. The producers of other popular series, such as Telemundo andNetflix's La Reina del Sur, have also chosen Peru as the perfect setting to film their latest season.
